>How to Manually Set the Reference Point Location for the Base Station<

The P-70 Ultra, when set to "RTK Base Station Mode", initially determines its reference point by performing autonomous positioning after powering on. During this process, it acquires a position and waits for it to gradually converge. However, the obtained coordinates may have slight deviations from the actual reference point location. To correct this offset, manual input of the reference point coordinates is required.

This operation is suitable for deploying the P-70 Ultra as a "Fixed-position RTK Base Station". Ensure that the external antenna is securely fixed at a reference point that cannot be easily moved. As long as the external antenna remains in a fixed position, the mobile station working with the base station will achieve extremely high absolute positioning accuracy.

You can obtain the reference point coordinates in advance through commercial CORS services or by looking up known reference point coordinates on a map. Save the acquired reference point coordinates into the P-70 Ultra.

The specific steps are as follows:

For Windows

Download and run "NavStarTool".

Select the port corresponding to "Enhanced COM Port", set the baud rate to "230400 bps", and click the "Switch" icon. If data starts scrolling in the "NMEA" window, the connection is successful.

The port numbers in the screenshot may vary depending on the computer and are for reference only.

Click "Receiver" - "Receiver Settings".

  Click "Read from Chip".

Navigate to the "System Parameters" section and locate the following entries:
• Longitude in Degree
• Latitude in Degree
• Height in Meter

Below is a description of the values that can be entered:

Entry Description Example Values
Longitude in Degree Reference point longitude
Format: ddd.dddddddd
Unit: degrees
90.000 (East Longitude)
-90.000 (West Longitude)
Latitude in Degree Reference point latitude
Format: dd.dddddddd
Unit: degrees
45.000 (North Latitude)
-45.000 (South Latitude)
Height in Meter Reference point altitude
Unit: meters
10.0 (Above sea level)
-10.0 (Below sea level)

Enter the reference point coordinate data for the base station.

Click "Send to Chip" to save the settings. When you see "setting is done successfully," it means the modification has taken effect.

Note: To delete the reference point location data, set all three values to "0".
